Today was the day
Today was a sad day. This morning Patch was pretty weak and his gums were white, more internal bleeding last night. I went to work late and then came home at lunch time for the day. Michele met me at home and we decided today would be his day.
At 3:20pm February 1, 2006 Patch passed away with the help of Dr. Jon Spelke DVM. It was so hard to do that but it was for the best.

Thank you for visiting our site. We are so sorry for the loss of Patch. Hemangiosarcoma is such an evil cancer. I tried updating our site, but blogger is being a pain. Fen can come home tonight and is working the room for food.
We were lucky in that he only had the 8 pound tumor on his spleen and both were removed with no evident signs of spread. We are hoping that the chemo is keeping it that way. Pallor, however, is scarey with a dog with HSA. I am an optimist, but also a realist. I am completely aware of that rollercoaster you mention. We just put our 15 year cat down Saturday with Osteosarcoma. I.hate.cancer.
