Brought him home tonight

Tonight will be a big test for Patch. I took him home from the vet tonight to see if the home atmosphere will be better to his recovery. He is still on pain meds so pretty lethargic but did manage to eat some steak and chicken we grilled for dinner. I will try some dog food later tonight and see if he will eat that. I will take him back to the vet's tomorrow for the day and hopefully that will be the end until the staples come out of his belly. Let's hope for a good quiet night.
