Popham Beach

We went to Popham Beach on Saturday. It was very hot 85° or so and we took Emma's friend Jaidin with us. It was so crowded there that I needed to drop off everyone and park about a mile and a quarter away and walk in to the beach. I got lucky and someone stopped and gave me a ride to the beach but I needed to walk back to get the chair, about a 20 minute walk on the shoulder of the road with people yelling at me from their cars. Hope that I never have to do that again. The beach was very crowded and it was high tide so not much sand to spread out on or for the kids to dig. Michele took the kids on a walk for a while but they mostly just dug a very large hole, about waist deep on Emma and Jaidin. Anyway it was nice to get out of the house for the day and we all had a good time.

Lobster for dinner! Invited Carrie over to pick up Jaidin and have dinner and the lobsters were very good this time. 1.25lbs or so each and soft shell. Haven't had soft shell in a long time and these were very sweet. They were $5.99/lb so still a little high but better than the grocery store price of $10.99/lb.
